Home plugin
By default the Aethera application will start under the Home plug in. The Home plug in screen will contain various information. So this will be the place where you will go when you want to read the net news or see the lattes changes in the weather forecast.
Activate the plugin
To activate the Home plug in if you are currently in another plug in simply click the Home plug in icon located in the navigation control panel located on the left side of the application. Each of these buttons correspond to a different plug in within Aethera.

User interface basics
The Home plug in UI is quite simple. You have two panels localed in the main working space. The upper panel displays Internet news and the lower panel displays the weather forecast.
The panels are separated by a splitter so you will be able to redistribute the space taken by each panel very easily. You can also close one of the panels completely by clicking the tool bar button.
Aethera will remember these settings so next time you start work everything will be the way you like it.
The Home plug in will get for you (by default) the lattes news every 30 minutes. You
can change this value in the Home plug in settings described in the next section. If you want to get
the lattes news you can simply press the refresh button the the tool bar.
You can change the time interval for news and weather download.
Left click on the news link will show the articol using your browser.
Right click on the news link and you can copy the link address to the clipboard.
To hide the weather or the RSS panels click the corresponding buttons in the tool bar.

Settings
Customizing the Home plug in is very easy because the way Aethera employees a centralized yet scalable settings system. To get access to the plug in settings execute Aethera-->Settings.
By clicking on the Home tab in the settings panel you will be able to change the way Home shows you news and weather.
You might have to scroll left or right to reach the Home tab.
The Home settings has two main parts. The news part and the weather part. These parts are clearly separated so you can't get them wrong.
To add a new news server to your list just type it's Internet address in the text line then click Add.
You can further adjust it's position by clicking the Up and Down buttons. To get some Internet server
links just click . Change the way news are automatic downloaded if you like but in most
cases the defaults will do.
Some news servers don't allow for a too low automatic download value.
The weather settings is just as easy as the news settings. Click this link
and choose a weather station from the list. Then type it's code in the line edit and click Add.
Change the automatic download settings and you are done.
